Truck Door Lock, Vehicle Locks. Vehicle Door Locks. Cargo Trailer Door Locks

Every morning before sunrise, hundreds of HTC storage truck drivers start their door-to-door delivery with approximately 250,000 pieces of merchandise a day. To save time, some drivers do not bother to use vehicle locks to lock their doors and end up losing merchandise. As one of the largest logistic companies in Taiwan, finding truck door lock solutions to minimize the risk of losing customers' delivery goods and to reduce drivers' workloads became critical. HTC contacted a lock expert with 39 years of security lock experience, REAL, who later designed a vehicle lock system that combines an electronic controller and a key lock to solve the delivery inconveniences. As a result, the innovative design also attracted Japan ISUZU's subsidiary company, ICL Co. Ltd.'s attention in REAL, and their requirements meant that REAL again earned a solid reputation for a total cargo trailer door lock solution provider. Because of the cooperation with Japan ICL, REAL also garnered other world-class companies' attention, including FeDex, UPS, etc.
With HTC's successful business, the drivers sometimes drive hundreds of times back and forth between cities to make sure goods are delivered into each client's hands. Hence, a suitable vehicle door lock system should consider some factors such as its weather tolerance ability, truck size for a vehicle lock to open, the motor of the truck door lock, battery capability, two interface design and user experience.
Combining two different types of locks together can be challenging, because it requires an integration of various interfaces. To have enough power to unlock the door, a powerful motor is needed. However, how to implement a powerful motor without quickly draining the battery? In addition, every vehicle security lock system is required to have high tolerance for different weather and road conditions. How are you going to know its performance without day-to-day observation? Eventually, REAL designed a vehicle lock system that allows drivers to unlock the door using an electronic remote controller, and for locking the doors, they can just easily push and lock by hand.

To ensure every vehicle security lock meets requirements, after one year's development, on-site tests began. Everyday, REAL staff recreated the whole delivery process to ensure the newly developed truck door lock is capable of doing the job, such as its performance in the rain or in the heat; when the goods are full in the truck, when the road condition is bad, which situation is more likely to cause a vehicle lock to become damaged, etc. Months later, a complete database of the lock's usage experience was completed.

REAL's excellent truck security lock attracted Japanese company ICL's attention, and they requested a lock system with higher standards. They asked for a vehicle lock that can tolerate harsh weather conditions and a lock that is designed for a Japanese-made truck. With ICL's requests, REAL designed a truck door lock system that only needs one key to open a truck that has more than one door, for instance the ones in Japan that have two side doors on both sides of the truck. In the end, ICL was pleased with REAL's performance and have been working together since then.
